Sakura Natural Candle Company was founded by a husband-and-wife team—one from London, the other from just outside Tokyo—who share a love for nature, beautiful design, and the calming power of essential oils. Our brand is named after our daughter, Sakura, whose name (meaning cherry blossom) symbolizes serenity, renewal, and beauty. Her presence in our lives inspired us to share something heartfelt with the world.
What began as a way to unwind from the stress of long careers in finance and tech turned into a creative ritual we shared at home. During lockdown, we hand-poured candles and blended essential oils to help ourselves and our loved ones find moments of calm. The overwhelmingly positive response from friends and family encouraged us to turn our passion into a purpose.
